Semester 2 Blog Post 5 - Illness and Chugging Along

I'm going to be honest this blog post will probably not be very long or thought out like the last couple of posts. I am currently sick and feel like my brain is fried a nice crispy golden brown. I think that's the fever talking honestly. Still, I'm gonna try my best and get through this post at the very least so it's not late.

As I said above, I'm currently sick. So work has been a bit slow this week on my end. I haven't done nearly as much as I wanted to or said I wanted to get done. But taking a break is important in order to not make myself sicker, so I'm trying to rest as much as I can. I didn't go to class on Thursday precisely for this reason. And I'm glad I didn't, because the way I felt yesterday made me think that if I had tried to go to class I would have simply started crying or fallen over. Once I am healthy again I will work nice and hard on getting myself all caught up and making sure everything I need to be working on is being worked on. Everyone else is doing a good job chugging along without me and I'm glad for that. I'm not worried about our group falling behind or anything while I'm a bit out of commission. I wish I wasn't out of commission but I will be feeling better by Tuesday hopefully. I don't want to miss any more school than I have to. I feel like I'm letting my group down if I take too many days off.

Animation is coming along nicely, and so are textures!!! The textures on the weapons and main characters look lovely at the moment, and I'm glad we have such good texture artists and animators on our team!! We have a plan for what we want done by the next production pass and are working our way towards that goal with as much speed and quality as we can. It's a balance after all. Don't want something too quick and not quality enough, but we also don't wanna get so hung up on quality that nothing gets done. It's that middle ground. So we all had a discusssion on what exactly that looked like, and as such the animators are continuing along and figuring things out.

This is all the energy I have for this blog post at the moment unfortunately. I feel like I'm going to pass out so I need to sleep. Next blog post will be much longer and better formatted!!
